Advanced Professional Security (APS) is looking for a new dedicated team for our contracted clients at the second largest airport, Denver International Airport (DEN). APS has 18 years of experience in providing premier security services to ensure the safety, security, and peace of mind that our clients and customers come to expect and know.
Unarmed Airport Security Guard Being a part of the security at DEN, you will become one of the first line of defenses in protecting our clients, passengers, your family, and assigned property from criminal activity, trespassing, and security threats. Your role is critical to ensuring travelers’ safe and protected experience while at DEN.

ideal candidate is someone who is observant, composed under pressure, professional, has unwavering integrity, and self-discipline while possessing strong written and verbal communication skills. While previous experience in law enforcement or security is
preferred , we will offer training to ideal candidates.

Essential Functions and Responsibility - Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, luggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other specialized equipment.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and patrol designated areas to detect and deter potential security breaches.
- Follow established protocols, respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
- Provide assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Collaborate effectively with airport staff, law enforcement, and other security personnel to coordinate efforts and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Make immediate emergency notifications as necessary when confronted with creditable information.
- Maintain a command presence while appearing on post in accordance with uniform and PPE standards (as needed for individual assignment).
- Be able to identify and deny access of prohibited items.
- Remain knowledgeable of security orders, directives, and procedures at all times.
- Provide directions as necessary.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to perform all functions of the job with, or without, reasonable accommodations.
- Must be able to carry out instructions furnished in English written or oral form as well as speak and comprehend English without translation.
- Must be neat, well-groomed and present a professional experience.
- Able to meet any special qualifications set forth in post orders or other relevant protocols and directives.
- Must be at least 18 years of age (some roles require a minimum age of 21)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Denver Guard Card ( )
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an airport badge ( )
- Ability to stand and walk up to 8-hours, lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to be flexible in scheduling for shifts that are overnight, day, or swing and include weekends and holidays.
- Already be located in the Denver Metro area.

This role remains in consistent need for our clients at DEN and will remain open. Roles are paid at the Colorado prevailing wage starting at $19.81 + Fringe.
