At Courtyard Charlotte City Center, our Chief Engineer is the backbone of the hotel-keeping systems running, leading maintenance efforts, and solving problems before guests ever notice. If you're a hands on leader who takes pride in preventative maintenance, quick fixes, and owning the operation, this role is for you! The compensation range for this role is $60,000-$70,000 annually. We are pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Chief Engineer . What will you be doing most days? Respond to guest requests in a timely manner and provide great guest service Perform preventative maintenance duties and procedures as needed Lead a team of Building Maintenance Tech I and II to complete tasks as assigned by the Computerized Maintenance Management System (QUORE). Perform a variety of tasks assigned by the Assistant General Manager and General Manager. Perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting projects Oversee all 3rd party outside contractors Respond to emergency situations promptly Always maintain a professional appearance Complete other duties as assigned What are the requirements for this position? You have been currently working as a Building Maintenance Tech/Engineer for at least 2 years or at least 4-5 years of experience in a related field You are currently managing at least one subordinate You have proficient knowledge of hand tools and maintenance duties You have time management capability to accomplish work within established parameters You have a customer service focus and the ability anticipate guest needs Physical Requirements for this Position This is a physically demanding position. You must be comfortable standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods of time. Travel Requirements This position would require 10% travel.
