Founded in 1921, Straub Benioff Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology. Straub is home to the Pacific Region's only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. Internal Medicine physicians specialize in the diagnosis, management and nonsurgical treatment of unusual or serious diseases. Our specialists in internal medicine or "Internists," have a lengthy clinical and scientific training in their areas of medical interest and special expertise in management of patients with complex, interacting medical conditions. Services include immunization, preventive care and patient education through a long-term personal relationship with their patients. Our caring and professional team also coordinates the efforts of other medical and surgical specialists as needed to assure our patients' best possible health.
You could gain valuable first-hand clinical operations and health care experience as a Clinic Aide. In this role you would serve as a nursing assistant who performs routine tasks ranging from monitoring supplies to administering health care to patients of all ages to supporting departmental staff. We are looking for someone diligent and motivated, who enjoys learning in a fast-paced clinical environment and shares our commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.

Minimum Qualifications: Nurse aide or medical assistant certificate showing successful completion of courses for a nurse assistant or medical assistant training program OR completion of a fundamentals course from an accredited school of Nursing (name of nursing school and completion of fundamentals course) OR Military Corpsman certificate OR EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) or MICT (Mobile Intensive Care Technician) certificate OR A RN/MD graduate certificate from college in a foreign country OR a successful Completion of HPH Clinical Aide Program. Current American Heart Association Heart Saver - AED CPR card.
Preferred Qualifications: Completion of medical terminology course.
