Description We are seeking a GIS Specialist – Junior to support the team's data compilation and validation work. This person will create, update, and delete GIS data within the multi-user enterprise environment, apply versioning strategies to manage edits and reconcile changes, use linear referencing tools to maintain and adjust event-based data, and perform edits using standard ArcGIS Pro tools. This role works under the guidance of the specialist and focuses primarily on data validation and supporting the team's compilation workload. Preferred Skills Hydrography layer work (streams) and understanding of stream network data Coursework or project experience in enterprise GIS data management Familiarity with data quality assurance workflows Required Skills & Qualifications 3+ years of relevant GIS experience Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro for data editing and management Experience in enterprise linear referencing datasets Exposure to branch versioning and multi-user enterprise environments Ability to reconcile changes and manage version conflicts Strong attention to detail for data validation work Job Information Experience Level: Intermediate Level Job Type & Location: Contract position based out of Raleigh, NC.
