Job Description Medical Assistant, Oncology - Click and Apply! Compensation: $19.00 - $25.00 / hour depending on experience.
Schedule: Day shift
Job Responsibilities: - Collaborate with practice physician(s) and office manager to deliver clinical support
- Aid physicians during patient examinations and treatments
- Conduct patient interviews and accurately document their information
- Measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height
- Perform blood sample collection and processing for laboratory testing
Required Qualifications: - High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED, or equivalent experience
- Hold a valid MA, CNA, LPN, or EMT license/certification
- Medical Assistants hired after 7/1/16 with a Certificate or Diploma of Completion must obtain Medical Assistant Certification within 6 months
- Exclusion: Foreign Medical Doctors holding a Diploma
- Current BLS certification
- EKG and Phlebotomy Certifications mandatory for CNA license holders in Primary Care Practices
- CNA, LPN, EMT licenses must be from the state of Florida
- Familiarity with HIPAA/OSHA regulations
- Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities
- Display empathy, integrity, and ethical conduct
- Effective communication skills with patients, colleagues, and management
- Proficiency in a second language is advantageous
