Job Description

Job Title: Pallet Repair Technician

Pallet Repair technicians are responsible for sorting and repairing returned pallets. The technician must learn and memorize the PECO pallet specification and ensure that all pallets leaving his worktable meet it. Pallets that do not meet the specifications must be repaired.

Essential Duties:

1. Sort pallets by lifting them onto the worktable and inspecting them from the top, bottom, and sides.
2. Replace any defective components on the pallet using the supplied tools. These tools include pneumatic nailers, reciprocating saws, and angle grinders.
3. Restock lumber and keep the workstation clean and organized throughout the day.
4. Memorize pallet specifications and ensure all pallets processed meet those specifications.
5. Clean or report any contamination or potential food safety issues for customers.
6. Other duties as assigned
7. Learn, understand, and adhere to all PECO safety policies and procedures for the depot and your role.

Education, Skills, and Experience:

• Ability to memorize and apply PECO pallet specifications to pallets
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary
• Strong work ethic

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move 65lb pallets repeatedly
• Standing for long periods
• Full range of motion required for reaching, bending, and lifting

Work Conditions:

• Work is performed in a fast-paced production environment.
• Pay is based on an incentive plan for both production and quality.
• Work is labor intensive and requires repetitive lifting.
