A&P Mechanic

Daher is looking to add a talented A&P Mechanic to our team at our facility in Pompano Beach, Florida. The A&P Mechanic will perform aircraft maintenance, repairs, and inspections on aircraft, engines, and components on TBM and Kodiak aircraft at the Daher Part 145 Service Center.

Primary Role and Responsibilities:

• Able to use FAA-approved data, i.e., IPC, AMM, OHM, CMM, etc., proficiently.
• Performs airframe, powerplant, and propeller repairs and modifications required to meet company and FAA requirements
• Removal and disassembly of defective parts; assembly and installation of replacement parts; and testing aircraft systems
• Performs routine inspections and troubleshooting, including airframe structures, engines, and aircraft systems, using approved or accepted data issued by the manufacturer or FAA
• Operates all power tools and equipment necessary to accomplish job assignment
• Completes all required maintenance records as stated in Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals
• Accurately records time worked on aircraft work order
• Interprets technical manuals, drawings and blueprints
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a positive customer service attitude without compromising quality
• Presents a clean and neat work area to customers facility cleanliness and general housekeeping
• Performs other aircraft maintenance work as required
• Tows and parks aircraft
• Basic shop upkeep (Sweeping, mopping, cleaning, etc.). Lifting/moving items 50lbs.
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk for extended periods. Must be able to climb and work from ladders, work stands, and other heights. Must be able to work with one or both hands extended overhead.
• The ability to travel as needed. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Must have an FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate.
• Experience with TBM aircraft, preferred
• Troubleshoot, repair, install, inspect and perform maintenance on customer aircraft
• Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
• Perform mechanical / electrical removals and installations
• Assist with engine removal / installation
• Assist with aircraft component repair
• Must have own tools.
• Must be eligible to work legally in the US.
• Must have a valid US Driver's License.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen & background check.
• Perform all work in a safe and timely manner
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand the English language

Information related to the position:

A&P Mechanic, Pompano Beach, Florida - $38 + per hour, must have Turbo Prop exp and a minimum of 3+ years aircraft maintenance experience or substantiated equivalent experience.
