Python Developer

Location: Jersey City, NJ
Type: Long-Term Contract

We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer with strong experience in modern software engineering, microservices, API development, cloud integration, and Agile delivery. The ideal candidate has a strong security mindset, hands-on backend development experience, and the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve complex production issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and microservices.
• Work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions following Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and collaborate on API gateway, API design, and API coding activities.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
• Apply test-driven development (TDD) practices and support CI/CD automation.
• Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and security.

• 5+ years of progressive software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Engineering , or equivalent work experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and related frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI preferred).
• Experience building microservices and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API development and API integration.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
• Familiarity with API gateways , API design patterns, and API best practices.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum preferred).
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot production issues.
• Knowledge of TDD , unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
• A strong security-first mindset in coding and system design.
